Description

At the Savannah River Laboratory, stable cesium at the part per billion levels is routinely determined in simulated defense waste supernate by isotope dilution mass spectroscopy. This work is in support of pilot plant studies of waste immobilization process. A direct method was developed in which spiked samples of simulated waste supernate are loaded directly on the sample filament.
