The magnitude of the differences in capital cost for single ring and multiring geometry is indicated. The dependence of capital cost on pulse repetition rate is shown. Data gives values of capital costs and overall efficiencies for CO/sub 2/ lasers with repetition rates of 2 to 40 Hz/sup 3/ and output energies of 1 to 10 MJ with salt and aerowindows. (MOW)
