Aviation committee chairman James Fuller, asks the
hotel people and the airlines to negotiate their
differences. He says the chamber knows the need is
pressing. A representative of the Convention Center
says 250 conventions, drawing 250-thousand (~4ple are
booked into the center though 1971. He says Fort
Worth has now surpassed Pittsburgh in convention
bookings, but adds that figure will drop unless better
airline accomodations are made available in Fort Worth.

The airlines and the hotel people later toured the
Blackstone, which is undergoing re-modeling, and
spokesmen for both parties deem assured they can
reach a satisfactory agreement, and make thedowntown Fort Worth Air Terminal a reality.
