The group that protested with a sit-in last week at
the Sta te welfaree Offices in Dallas are hailed into
court today, to show cause why they shouldn't be
held in contempt. iMrs. Tuth Jefferson led the three-
day demonstration, made up mainly of mothers on wel-'-n, members of S ICK.

Dallas City attorney Bickley
did not appear in court, although subpoenaed, and the
judge refused both to force his appearance or delay
proceedings until he COULD appear. The welfare
mothers and. STICK members expressed resentment at the
