Description

Extraction of the external beam of the cosmotron with maximum efficiency and minimum duration for measurements of the magnetic moment of the lambda hyperon requires addition of a rapid beam ejector (RBE). Early experiments with the RBE give lower ejection efficiency than the standard ejection system. Reconstruction of the RBE with lengthening of the rise time of the system gives improved values.
