IIl. Procedure
A. Experimental Animals
The animals employed in the study were Charles River* random
bred Swiss white mice. Six hundred mice 1300 males and 300 females)
were selected for the experiment and housed in standard, wire-bottomed
steel cages. Each cage bore a color-coded card identifying the animal
with respect to project number, treatment, individual animal number and
sex.
