procedures, and facilities, which relate to the manufacture and
inspection of this material. The manufacturer shall perform tests
and supply data, as required to illustrate compliance with all require-
ments of this specification.
4.1.2 Material accepted by the purchaser's inspector at the place of
manufacture which is later found to contain imperfections not detected
at the place of manufacture, or which subsequent tests or analysis
show to be not in conformance with this specification is subject to
4.2 COMPLIANCE: No change shall be made in the quality of successive
shipments of material furnished under this specification without first
obtaining approval of the purchaser.

4.3.1 The chemical analysis shall be determined in accordance with
ASTM Standards or by a method approved by the purchaser.
4.3.2 The number of tests shall be in accordance with Section 4.7.
4.4.1 The density shall be determined on each cup and conform to
4.4.2 The density shall be determined by standard immersion methods.
4.5 MECHANICAL PROPERTIES
4.5.1 The tensile strength shall be obtained by compressing an annealed,
machined ring specimen 0.20 + 0.030 - inch wide at room temperature
until failure occurs.
4.5.2 The deformation shall be obtained by compressing an annealed,
machined ring specimen 0.20 + 0.030 - inch wide at 2500 F with a load
indicative of 30,000 psi stress.
4.5.3 A written description of the testing techniques and stress
calculations shall be submitted and approved by the purchaser.
4.5.4 The number of tests shall be in accordance with Section 4.7.
