Progress is reported on development of a scintillation detector which alternately views the radiation transmitted through a sample and through a calibrated wedge. From this information density and thickness data can be obtained. Long term stability measurements are being made on the commutating system and the causes of fluctuations are being investigated. Information concerning procurement and fund expenditure are given. (J.R.D.)
