Additionally, a number of mechanical or electronic circuits
will be provided at the Jack Board to perform operations such as addition,
subtraction, multiplication and division of the various input signals with
each other or with selected constants. A function generator will also be
located at the Jack Board to provide desired signals which vary with time
or with one of the other input signals in order to impose desired variable
control of selected parameters.
The Jack Board will permit experimentation with a large
number of boiling reactor control systems and a large number of boiling
reactor operating cycles by merely connecting the proper signals to the
desired controllers and manually adjusting gain and set points.
Here’s what’s next.
