Description

From conference on baryon resonances; West Lafayette, Indiana, USA (20 Apr 1973). A study was made, with good gamma detection, of the individual channels that contribute to the reactions K/sup -/p yields LAMBDA neutrals in the K/sup -/ momentum range from 525 to 820 MeV/c. The SIGMA /sup o/ pi /sup o/ cross se ction is considered which is difficult to obtain without gamma detection (e.g. in a H/sub 2/ bubble chamber). Only events with all decay gammas detected are used for analysis. The results have direct bearing on the SIGMA pi branching ratios of the LAMBDA (1670) and the ... continued below
