3. FUEL PREPARATION

The FY-1971 fuel order includes 1200 g of coprecipitated powder
and 600 g of sol-gel microspheres containing 20% PuOz in UOz enriched
to 93% 235U for the EBR-II irradiation tests. The fuel order was com-
pleted during the past quarter.' Approximately 1700 g of coprecipitated
powder for fuel fabrication and 840 g of sol-gel microspheres for pin
loading were delivered (see section 4). No additional fuel is to be pre-
