Christening Gown

Description: Christening gown of white cotton muslin. Hand made and embroidered. Gathered waist trimmed in laisse anglais. Rounded neckline with V insert of eyelet lace. Eyelet trim at wrists, neck and hem. Scalloped insert panel down front trimmed in tatted eyelet with floral embroidery and six tiers of tatted eyelet. Center back opening is pleated with three covered buttons and drawstring at waist.

Description: Dressing gown of brown cotton with paisley print in warm reds, teal, dark pinks, golden yellow and blue grey. Full length, loose fit with long sleeves. Fold-over collar, opening and cuffs are trimmed with a different fabric band of bone colored stripe surrounded by darker brown with rows of floral bouquets. Description: Christening gown of white cotton batiste. Yoke is vertical bands of drawn work and eyelet in pineapple(?) pattern. Bottom of yoke has ruffle of scalloped eyelet lace. Long sleeves have ruffled hem matching yoke. Ruched at back waist. Rounded neckline is bound and trimmed in lace. Skirt has 14 rows of drawn work with 3" scalloped eyelet trim in floral pattern at hem. Center back closure of two buttons on yoke with draw strings at neckline and back ruching.

Description: Formal tea gown of green print cotton in multicolored floral print and pink satin cuffs, bodice and tucks at side. Watteau pleats down center back. Long sleeves with 6-1/2" fitted cuffs. Slightly trained. Lined in olive green polished cotton; boning at waist.

Mother Hubbard style, full-length, shawl collar trimmed with 2 tiers of ruffles of same, and white lace and black velvet ribbon and then bands of white cording overlaid with/couched down with black stitching.
