Anthropo-fidelic behavior of elastic-plastic lattice structures

Novel thin polymeric magnetic membranes study for applications in the future biomedical devices

Description: Article describes how biomedical devices such as pumping/mixing fluids, cell-culturing, and drug delivery often use different actuation methods. In regard to magnetic actuation, membranes with a local distribution of magnetic particles are investigated and compared to membranes with randomly distributed magnetic particles, which in turn may enhance the actuation performance for certain applications.

Anomalous thermo-osmotic conversion performance of ionic covalent-organic-framework membranes in response to charge variations

Magnetic ordering in a vanadium-organic coordination polymer using a pyrrolo[2,3-d:5,4-d0] bis(thiazole)-based ligand

Description: This article presents the synthesis and characterization of a hybrid vanadium-organic coordination polymer with robust magnetic order, a Curie temperature TC of ~110 K, a coercive field of ~5 Oe at 5 K, and a maximum mass magnetization of about half that of the benchmark ferrimagnetic vanadium(tetracyanoethylene)~₂ (V·(TCNE)~₂).

Antiviral Activity of Metal-Containing Polymers—Organotin and Cisplatin-Like Polymers

Description: This article examines the use of metal-containing polymers as a novel class of antivirals. Polymers containing platinum and to a lesser extent tin, have repeatedly demonstrated antitumor activity in vitro and in vivo against a variety of cell and tumor types. The mechanisms responsible for the antitumor activity include inducing a delay in cell proliferation and sister chromatid exchanges blocking tumor growth.
