Error Estimates for Some Unstable Continuation Problems
Description:
The purpose of this paper is to give a method of approximating u(x,y) by bounded solutions of the elliptic equation when the given data, F(x), f₁(y), and f₂(y), are known only to within a given error. A priori error estimates for the approximation will be given. Since the method involves the solution of a linear programming problem, a posteriori estimates of the error will also be obtained.
