Mon coeur galopant

Description: Recording of Sten Hanson's Mon coeur galopant. After a visit to the hospital for fatigue and an irregular heart rate, the composer created this work based off of the sounds from videos of several ultrasonic heart examinations that were performed on him. The piece is meant to depict the positive and negative experience of how fragile man can be and yet still retain the strength to live. The work is dedicated to the chief physician, Inger Axelsson, and her staff at the SÖS hospital in Stockholm.
