Description: Daytime ensemble. A) Dress of orange silk with white embroidered polka dots. Sleeveless. Wide, rounded/modified bateau neckline scooped lower in back. Gathered waist, A-line skirt, knee length with two side seam pockets. Center back lapped zipper closure. Bodice lined in orange silk. Skirt lined in cream silk. Designer's label at center back seam near hem: "Norman Norell / New York" B) Jacket of orange silk with white embroidered polka dots. Jewel neckline with mandarin collar. Three-quarter length set-in sleeves. Center front opening with three over-sized ivory silken looped "pompom" buttons. Bound buttonholes. Two snap closures at neckline and two hook & bar closures at hemline. Lined in orange silk. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Norman Norell / New York" Retailer's label below designer's label: "Howard Wolf / Dallas New York" C) Belt of ivory satin ribbon. 2-1/2 inches wide with 3/4 inch fraying at ends.

Single breasted with three circular brown plastic buttons and bound buttonholes; notched collar. Long sleeves with three smaller matching, functional buttons and bound buttonholes. Side flap pockets with welts. Lined in brown silk. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Norell" b) Skirt of matching brown and cream wool twill check. A-line with 1-1/4 inch waistband. Center back opening with zipper and two hook & bars on waistband. Lined in brown silk.

Center front opening with 17 self-covered circular buttons and bound button holes, two buttons non-functional due to sewn-down collar, and one extra button hole at top in collar, but no button. Long or 3/4 length sleeves. Two large patch pockets at front hips. Lined in yellow silk. Designer's label: "Norman Norell / New York" B) Tie belt of same fabric.

Center front opening with 9 black plastic circular buttons with bound buttonholes. Large patch pockets at sides. Lined in red silk. Designer's label at inside left seam of lining: "Norman Norell / New York" Retailer's label at center back neckline: "Lou Lattimore / Dallas" b) Black satin bow. Attaches to neckline of dress under the collar with two large covered snaps. c) Black patent leather belt. 1-1/2 inches wide with square buckle covered in same. Backing of tan leather. Back stamped: "14 / Norman Norell"

Patch pocket at upper right breast, and two large patch pockets at hips. Long sleeves, gathered into cuffs, which have two self-covered buttons each. Lined in matching silk(?) Designer's label: "Norman Norell / New York" Retailer's label: "Lou Lattimore / Dallas" B) Tie belt of same fabric. No labels in belt.
