Description: Interview with college professor Pat N. McLeod from Denton, Texas. In the interview, McLeod discusses his experiences concerning the desegregation of the North Texas State College in the mid-1950's. He describes what growing up was like in a racist community, and includes stories of his African-American friend, Jesse Fischer. McLeod also comments about the role of the President of North Texas State College, James Carl Matthews.
