[Grilled Cheese]

Description: Photographs of the 2009-2010 artist's book competition honorable mention "Grilled Cheese" created by Carlynn Field. The book is a sculptural representation of a grilled cheese sandwich made of yellow fabric, printed fabric, hand-dyed silk, and batting. Description: Photographs of the 2009-2010 artist's book competition winner "20 Soldiers a Day" created by Jung Eun Lee (or Jungeun Lee). The artist's book is a Japanese-sewn volume consisting of double-leaves sewn together. [Croix de Guerre WWI medal]

Description: Photograph of a medal from the Byrd Williams Family Photography Collection, held by UNT Special Collections. It is the French Croix de Guerre from WWI. It has a red and green striped cloth with a bronze palm frond on it to signify that it was given to someone in the army. The bronze cross is hanging below it and has two swords crossed behind it and the bust of a young woman wearing a Phrygian cap to signify the French Republic.
