Bonnet-style hat

Description: Hat in bonnet style of black silk taffeta; rounded crown with 4" deep upward brim covered with folds of fabric with binding underbrim and lower edge of bonnet with gathered bombazine; large bow at front and back with silk taffeta ribbon ties; inside of crown is brown buckram; black silk lining.

Boy's dress

Description: Boy's blue and beige/white plaid linen ankle length fitted dress. Long narrow sleeves; ruffle of fabric at the wrist. Narrow turn over collar. Dress gored front and back. Bound in velvet crossed over buttoning up the front to high neck. Double ruffles at bottom of skirt. Trimmed with velvet ribbon and jet black buttons. Lined in muslin. Plaid fabric is indigo dyed, and most likely velvet cording is also indigo dyed.

Description: Hat in bonnet style of black straw with black satin ribbon ties with violet flowers attached to crown; soft black tulle on the underbrim; replacement ties of black grosgrain ribbon at center back of lower crown and ties underchin.

[Letter from Travis Winham to C. B. Moore, September 25, 1882]

Description: Travis left Sherman with Miss Dora and dropped her off with her family. He took the train to visit Bettie Emerson, who was in Eurkea Springs, Arkansas. He is amazed at how big Fort Worth is. He met up with Charley Moore, whose family was in town. He was very thankful for Charley being kind and courteous. Description: Day ensemble of tan cotton batiste with woven cream stripes bordered in black. A: Fitted bodice. Yoke is covered in floral lace with black velvet trim; ruffled shoulders of self. Long, demi-gigot sleeves with 2-2/2" ruffle of self as cuffs. Center front hook & eye closure. Lined in mercerized cotton. B: Skirt of same fabric. Full-length with bustle back. Two rows of ruffles at hem; 22" waist. Hook & eye closure at center back on narrow waistband. Unlined.

Description: Handbag of brown crocodile with two feet attached to front face; stiffened ridge at center and smooth sides. Single contoured handle with brass fasteners. Inverted rectangular frame. Description: These are documents from the Charles B. Moore Collection. The documents include a clipping and two tickets. The clipping details that P. O'Reilly and W. L. McCormick were elected as alderman to fill the position in their respective wards. On the reverse side of the clipping is a marriage announcement for Linnet Moore and Claude White; the reason this clipping was cut and saved.
