Description: Dress in modified caftan style of navy blue silk and silk chiffon with butterfly print. Full length. Sleeveless silk under dress has matching butterfly pattern. Over dress of chiffon has long set-in sleeve on right and draped opening on left creating a toga-like effect. Hemline and draped sleeve bordered in 4" band of light aqua blue organza with under band of hot pink organza. Scooped back has center opening of 10 faux self-covered buttons and loops with closure of 5 covered snaps. Lined in navy jacquard rayon with "Hanae Mori" print. Designer's label at inside back to left of zipper: "(Japanese characters) / Hanae Mori"

Description: Ensemble consisting of: A) Dress of cotton/polyester blend knit in black, brown and white horizontal stripes. Collarless, rounded neckline; long sleeves. Below-knee length. Last 10" of hemline is silver and black lace with tan chiffon lining. Metallic silver trim at sleeve ends, neck and between fabric changes. Invisible center back zipper with hook & eye. Unlined. Designer's label at center back to right of zipper: "Geoffrey Beene / New York" B) Jacket of silver and gold lace with black and silver ribbon trim in abstract floral patterns. Scalloped V-neck at center front opening with two globe/marble-like buttons and tailored buttonholes. Neck line, opening and sleeve hems trimmed in black and silver ribbon. Long sleeves with scalloped edges. Faux pocket flaps of black striped knit matching dress with silver trim. Unlined. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Geoffrey Beene / New York"

Description: Ensemble of acetate/silk blend printed with black, grey, and white with purple flowers. Consists of: A) Dress. Below knee length. Round neckline. Short sleeves with shoulder pads. Center back zipper. Diagonal darts at waist. Vents at either side seam hem. Unlined. Designer's label at inside center back neckline: "Giorgio Armani / Le Collezioni / Made in Italy" Size label next to designer's label: "44 / 10" B) Vest. Past hip length. Four iridescent gray buttons at front with barred buttonholes. Buttons hidden from view when fasted by front placket. Sleeveless. V-shaped neckline. Unlined. Care and content label at inside left seam with attached extra button. C) Belt. Front same fabric as garment. Back stiff facing. Rectangular buckle is covered in same fabric.

Description: Dress of black net with white swirls. Short capped, raglan sleeves; bateau neckline. Swirls in shape of flowers at right shoulder. Knee length under layer; top layer 1" above under layer with slit from hem to chest on right side. Braiding around neckline extends across front and back left shoulder to form trailing ends to hemline. Slit pocket at right side seam of inner layer. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Geoffrey Beene / New York" Union label, "Dry Clean Only" and size "6" tags at bottom of interior pocket flap.

Description: Dress of bright green chiffon printed with multi-color shapes and with all-over scattered sequins and beading. The full-length A-line sheath has a round neckline with beaded band trim at neckline. The long sleeves have five non-functioning beaded buttons at wrist, and five hidden snap closures from wrist. The dress has an attached underdress of matte silk printed with same design as the overdress. The garment is fully lined with cream silk which has woven into it a repeated pattern of Hanae Mori's name. The underdress has a zipper closure at center back from neckline to above waist. The overdress has a series of hidden snaps to conceal the zipper, and a line of eight beaded buttons matching those on the sleeves, also non-functional. A single hook-and-loop closure at neck secures the top of the garment. The printed design includes circles, flowers, and fluid lines and triangles in shades of pink, yellow, blue, orange, and violet. The sequins are clear, and are secured with tiny colored beads, the colors of which match the color of the dress they are sewn over. Sewn inside dress at back at left of zipper is designer label: "[Japanese characters] / Hanae Mori"

Description: Evening ensemble consisting of: A) Evening dress of black wool crepe, knee-length, sleeveless, and with jewel neckline. Center back zipper, with hook & eye. Attached belt of 2-1/2" wide black satin ribbon at waist. Side in-seam pockets. Lined in black silk. B) Jacket of black wool crepe with satin cuffs, and jewel neckline, and long sleeves. Center front opening. Jacket is completely covered in vertical lines of clear/ mirror rhinestones. Lined in black silk. Jacket has combined Designer's/Retailer's label at center back neckline: "Norman Norell for Bonwit Teller"

Cocktail Dress

Description: Cocktail dress of ivory four-ply silk and brown wool crepe. Torso and long sleeves are of ivory silk, and the 5" cuffs and 15" skirt panel are of brown wool crepe. Silk tie at neckline hangs down front and back. Center back opening with 5 self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes supplemented with snaps at neckline. Top portion lined in ivory silk, bottom portion lined in brown silk. Designer's label in skirt: "Norman Norell / New York". Retailer's(?) label sewn into lining, partly obscured: "Saks Fifth Avenue / Helas / Greenhill / 4-19-66 5322". Union label in skirt near designer's label. This garment shows evidence at hemline of having been shortened.

Combined designer/retailer label at center back neckline: "Neiman-Marcus Dallas / Traina-Norell" b)Skirt of black and white wool tweed. Slightly A-line; below knee length. Center front opening with 9 circular, black plastic buttons with raised edges and bound buttonholes. Inner waistband of black grosgrain ribbon with hook & eyes. Waist of skirt is supported with 5-1/2" band of black quilted fabric. Unlined.
