Description: Handbag for afternoon or evening use. Frame of simulated tortoiseshell, carved and with openwork, with ball/snap closure and chain. Body of bag is of beige fabric with multi-colored petit-point embroidery of a bouquet of flowers. Floral motif on bag in grey, greens, blues, pinks and rose. Lined in rose ribbed silk, and contains a change purse and mirror. French or English in origin.

Description: Folding fan with wooden sticks and guards, and paper leaf. The guards have applied celluloid(?) panels, the lower sections plain and the upper decorated with pastel "scales" in blue and yellow. Set with colored stones in square recesses. The paper leaf is painted on one side with a stylized design of clusters of roses in reds, pinks, and yellow/orange on a pink/mauve ground with blue shapes. "U"-shaped bail ring at bottom.

Silver suspension chain of alternating oval links and links formed of three flower-heads. Bag is oval shaped, black wool with petite point embroidery decoration on each side of a bouquet of trumpet shaped flowers. Pink satin lining. Hallmarked "800" on frame.

Description: Nap sack inspired bag of black felt in cylindrical shape. Bottom half and side handle decorated in garden scene of felt appliqué and embroidery of trees, people, birds, dogs, rabbits, grass, flowers, cat tails, owls, and cacti; bordered in green yarn trim. Faux jade green plastic bracelet as slide closure on body of bag. Rigid circular base. Lined in olive green taffeta. No labels. Measurements: 16.5 cm Diameter, 34 cm H.

Hat

Description: Hat of black felt. The low, domed crown of black felt is ornamented with a double-spray of black feathers at front. The brim, also of black felt, is turned up at front and turned down at back. The underside of the brim, which shows at front, is lined in black lace embellished with tiny black sequins and beads (jet?). The hat is unlined, with an inner hatband of black grosgrain ribbon.
