The purpose of the investigation was to determine the interrelationships of strength, speed, power and anthropometric measures in women. Sixty females ranging in ages from 18 to 25 volunteered as subjects. The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between treadmill time, maximal oxygen consumption and pace characteristics of the 1.5 and 3 mile runs and to compare the distances and pace characteristics as predictors of aerobic capacity. Effect of Rater Training and Scale Type on Leniency and Halo Error in Student Ratings of Faculty

The purpose of this study was to determine if leniency and halo error in student ratings could be reduced by training the student raters and by using a Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scale (BARS) rather than a Likert scale. Depressed and Nondepressed Students: Judgment of Control, Defensiveness, and Cognitive Functioning

Ninety-six undergraduates were given four tasks under either reward or punishment conditions. Each task consisted of 20 trials of pressing or not pressing a button to make a light come on. Semaphore Solutions for General Mutual Exclusion Problems

Automatic generation of starvation-free semaphore solutions to general mutual exclusion problems is discussed. A reduction approach is introduced for recognizing edge-solvable problems, together with an O(N^2) algorithm for graph reduction, where N is the number of nodes. RADIX 95n: Binary-to-Text Data Conversion

This paper presents Radix 95n, a binary to text data conversion algorithm. Radix 95n (base 95) is a variable length encoding scheme that offers slightly better efficiency than is available with conventional fixed length encoding procedures. Radix 95n advances previous techniques by allowing a greater pool of 7-bit combinations to be made available for 8-bit data translation. This study investigated the changes in attitudes of Japanese first and second grade children who were exposed to microcomputers in school. Teachers' Perceptions of Computer Use in Elementary and Secondary Classrooms in Thailand

The purpose of this study was to create a base of descriptive information about computer applications in the elementary and secondary classrooms of Thailand. To accomplish this task, two forms of questionnaires were developed and administered to a randomly selected sample of 527 school teachers and 94 college instructors throughout the Northeastern area of Thailand. An Analysis of Reading Preferences of Pilots to Develop a Book List for Aviation Education

This study proposed to develop a list of aviation books that experienced pilots consider inspirational and motivational which could be used in an aviation literature course in adult education. Survey results showed the subject pilots had a positive attitude toward reading and flying, but there was little correlation (r = .35) between the two.
