Description: Hatlet of multi-colored feathers. The hat is formed as a low, head-hugging dome of brown felt. This crown is completely covered with featherwork in various colors, including dyed green, red, yellow and natural brown quail(?), black and white, blue and white, and gray and white feathers. At one side is a bow of stiffened green and red velvet. The hat is unlined, with a brown grosgrain ribbon inner hatband. The hat is accompanied by two short hatpins, the heads covered with small squares of red velvet.

Description: Dress and coat of peacock feathers. The short, sleeveless dress is entirely covered with peacock breast feathers, accented with a 1" band of blue cording and chenille trim at neckline and with blue cord spaghetti straps. It is fully lined with navy polyester. The long, sleeveless coat is covered with peacock herl / flue feathers. It has a round neckline, and no closure. These pieces are part of a larger ensemble, consisting of a total of 9 pieces decorated with peacock and/or golden pheasant feathers. Worn to the Emmy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, California, April 1976.

Description: Hatlet of modified calot type with brown, beige, white, blue and green feathers, the whole covered with a very fine veil sprinkled with tiny rhinestones. Inside of crown lined at center with a green silk(?), edged with green grosgrain ribbon. Outer part of crown lined in a green knit material. Attached to grosgrain ribbon are Hatpin of matching material. Lined in green fabric. Two combs attached to both sides of green grosgrain headband. No labels. Attributed to Bes-Ben at time of donation. Gift of Mr. William T. Doyle, through the Chicago Historical Society. From the estate of Dorothy Wrigley Offield.

Description: Hat of blue featherwork. The crown is basically cylindrical, flattened at top and with a rounded upper edge. The crown flows into the downwards curving shallow brim. The whole is covered in a mosaic of small feathers in various shades of blue and blue gray. The crown is lined in a blue floral lace, and has a blue grosgrain inner hatband. The brim is unlined, allowing the coarse blue woven under structure to be seen. Retailer's label inside crown: "Neiman-Marcus / Custom Made"

Description: Hat of navy blue wool jersey and feathers. The hat, styled as a calotte (also spelled "calot") consists of a soft navy blue wool jersey cap which fits tightly to head. On left side are gathers/ruching. On right side is larger circular rosette of navy blue feathers which extends down below lower edge of crown. Unlined. Accompanied by a single hatpin with navy blue jersey covered head. Combined designer's/retailer's label inside: "Hattie Carnegie / Inc. / Original / Expressly for / Neiman-Marcus"

Description: Ensemble of mauve suede and feather-work, consisting of: Vest of mauve suede with elaborate feather-work at each side of center-front opening. Feathers include taupe, brown and silver ostrich plumes, pheasant and small dark brown and white feathers; the designs accented at bottom with leaf appliques in violet fabric and in gold metallic reptile. The vest has a round neckline; the slightly angled center front opening having four hook & eye closures. Slightly curved hemline. Unlined. Total length: 19 3/8" (49.2cm). Designer's label at center back neckline: "Becky Bisoulis" Retailer label at base of designer label: "Marie Leavell" and size "M" tag at base of retailer label. Skirt of mauve suede. Medium length. Straight, four panel skirt gathered to elasticized waistband. Deep, 11 7/8" (29.5cm) slit at lower left seam. Closure by invisible zipper at center back with large hook & bar on waistband. Lined with lilac silk crepe de chine. Total length: 27" (68.6cm). Designer's label at right side seam: "Becky Bisoulis" with size "8" tag attached to base of label. Retailer's label to right of designer label: "Marie Leavell"
