Representation of Recorded Knowledge and Extended Date/Time Format: A Case Study of the Digital Public Library of America

Description: This paper presents results of a study that analyzed representation of dates and time in one of the largest aggregators of digital content in the world -- the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA). The findings demonstrate both similarities and differences in date and time representation across DPLA content hub and service hub provider groups.

Dynamic Classification in Web Archiving Collections

Description: Article explores dynamic fusion models to find, on the fly, the model or combination of models that performs best on a variety of document types. The experimental results show that the approach that fuses different models outperforms individual models and other ensemble methods on three datasets.

A scalable high-performance I/O system

Description: A significant weakness of many existing parallel supercomputers is their lack of high-performance parallel I/O. This weakness has prevented, in many cases, the full exploitation of the true potential of MPP systems.
