Development of a procedure to estimate runoff and sediment transport in ephemeral streams

Description: A distributed hydrologic model for application on small, semiarid watersheds is developed. The distributed model incorporates simplified routing schemes to include the influence of transmission losses on runoff. Three-dimensional modeling of tsunami waves

Description: Two- and three-dimensional, time-dependent, nonlinear, incompressible, viscous flow calculations of realistic models of tsunami wave formation and run up have been performed using the Los Alamos-developed SOLA-3D code. Application of US upper wind data in one design of tethered wind energy systems

Description: The upper atmospheric wind resource for the continental United States, Hawaii, and Alaska is assessed. The raw data were obtained from the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder, Colo.
