Beam-based determination of the offset of Booster {gamma}{sub T} quads

Description: Twelve pulsed {gamma}{sub T} quads have been installed in the Booster to provide fast transition crossing. The less time the beam stays in the non-adiabatic period near transition, the less the longitudinal emittance grows. From the past experience, the {gamma}{sub T} quads are not well aligned relative to the usual closed orbit. Quad steering can cause beam loss and a dispersion wave after transition. Study of the effects of high temperatures during quenches on the performance of a small Nb(3)Sn racetrack magnet

Description: Several high field Nb{sub 3}Sn magnets of different design are under development for future particle accelerators. Nb3Sn accelerator magnet development around the world

Description: During the past 30 years superconducting magnet systems have enabled accelerators to achieve energies and luminosities that would have been impractical if not impossible with resistive magnets. Pulsed ti: sapphire laser power amplifier

Description: We have demonstrated an all solid state Ti:Sapphire laser system consisting of a power oscillator and single pass amplifier. The electrical-to-optical efficiency far exceeds that of the current CW systems. The pump lasers have lower capital and operating costs than the Argon-ion laser. Measured Winter Performance of Storm Windows

Description: Direct comparison measurements were made between various prime/storm window combinations and a well-weatherstripped, single-hung replacement window with a low-E selective glazing. Application performation evaluation of the HTMT architecture.

Description: In this report we summarize findings from a study of the predicted performance of a suite of application codes taken from the research environment and analyzed against a modeling framework for the HTMT architecture.
