Curry was the dean of the College of Business at North Texas State University in 1969. In 1991, what was formerly known as the Historical Building was changed to O.J. Curry.

An aerial view of Vet Village, which contained housing for married students after World War II. The street running closest to the viewer is Oak Street and the first street going toward the housing units is Bradley Street. After Vet Village closed in 1960, the buildings were razed to make room for the Bradley Street Apartments. The Bradley Street Apartments have since been demolished as well.
