Encontros brasilieros

Description: Recording of John Winiarz's Encontros Brasilieros. This work is for tape and refers to the different cultures that were intrumental in the development of Brazil. The music from Brazil is evoked through rattles and flute sounds, while bell and harpsichord sonorities are linked with European culture. The sound sources are samples, frequency modulation synthesis, and by using digital recording techniques to manipulate sounds.

Description: This is a holograph score of Don Gillis "The Encore Concerto for Piano and Orchestra." Gillis's dedicated this his first piano concerto to his friend Joseph Kahn. Enée et Lavinie

Description: Libretto of the opera "Enée et Lavinie" by Bernard le Bovier de Fontenelle. Pascal Collasse composed the music of the opera which premiered on November 7, 1690. The plot, which Bovier de Fontenelle adapted from Virgil's "Aeneid, Book vii," revolves around the marriage of Enée (i.e., Aeneas) to the Latin bride Lavinia.

Description: "This piece made in 1969 with extremely modest means was integrated in 1972 into a triptych, Assemblages, which accompanied an exhibition of "Volumes éclatés" by the sculptor Michel Anasse. It can be considered the third of my "presentable" studies. “Energies” was part of the material submitted in 1988 for the first "Magisterium" of the Bourges Competition, which was obtained. "
