Description: Recording of Robert Dow's When all is silent. For electronics, voice, and horn. This work investigates into the worlds of abstract and known sounds, as well as, the in between. For the composer musique concrète is not merely in dealing with the manipulation of sound, but also deals with the symbolism of the given sound. This process of sound manipulation brings tensions and resolutions of which music is constructed.
