Description: Recording of two episodes of Elmer Davis and the News. Side 1 is dated July 5, 1941; side 2 is undated. This program features Davis' commentary on the news and world events, particularly the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union at this time. This recording appears to have been copied from a tape, and artifacts of tape recording, such as initial speed irregularities, are present. In Oklahoma City, this program was broadcast locally on KOMA, which station identification at the end of Side 2 confirms. more

Description: Recording of Bernard Donzel-Gargand's Eloge de la folie. There are no vile or glorious acts that are not inspired by it: Madness. Absurd and radiant arrows seek their target among hearts overjoyed, overwhelmed with grief resting on a tree of illusions. The spoken and processed voice is used extensively. All of the processing is computer-assisted, using the MAX language, (warping, stretching, real-time playback of variable windows on various samples).
