Forma del respiro
Recording of Michelangelo Lupone's Forma del respiro. The composer transformed the sound of the word "respiro" (breath) until the metamorphosis of the sound itself which refers to the action to blow. Starting from the word and treating rhythm and timbre as elements of musical variation allowed the composer to highlight the complexity of the components of sound, the smallest (grains). The possibility of reaching the depth of the cells (until one can no longer distinguish them from a cell of noise), suggested to the composer the structure and the processes of sound synthesis. The realization used the Fly 30 sound synthesis and processing system.

This is a digital copy of "Grand galop de bravoure" by Leopold von Meyer. This piece was issued as the fourth of four pieces published under the title "Repertoire de Léopold de Meyer." The Austrian composer and pianist von Meyer, had a successful performance career in Russia, eastern Europe and Vienna and also achieved success in London and Paris. He visited the United States on October 1845 and his histrionic performance style and bravura showpieces were received with wide acclaim. "Grand galop de bravoure" is part of a bound collection of piano pieces composed by von Meyer that also includes fantasies on famous nineteenth-century operas, variations, national airs, marches, valses, an etude and nocturnes.
