Injury Experience in the Coking Industry, 1951

Description: From Introduction and Summary: "Reports from operating companies showed that 25,715 men worked at coke ovens in 1951, about 6 percent more than were employed in 1950 and, except in 1943, the largest work force since 1930, when 28,139 men were employed. Geochemical Relations of Zinc-Bearing Peat to the Lockport Dolomite, Orleans County, New York

Description: From introduction: Geochemical studies of zinc-bearing peats in western New York State show them to be related genetically to underlying mineralized beds of the Lockport dolomite of Niagaran age. A General Purpose Log Counting Rate Meter Model B

Description: Abstract: This report is a brief description of a general purpose logarithmic counting rate meter developed at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. The theory of operation and the circuit design are discussed. The use of a diode as a logarithmic element in the integrating circuit allows extremely accurate counting rate determinations over a five decade range.
