- Capelet of black silk satin. The short cape is trimmed along hem with 3-1/2" band of pleated organza and band of jet beads. Standing neckline trimmed in pleated organza. Center front opening with closure of five hook & eyes, with bow of black silk satin moire with trailing ends attached to right side of opening at throat. Shoulder yoke bordered in tightly gathered narrow band of black organza. Bright purple moire silk lining.

Left side with no armhole, but with extra fullness so caplet drapes over arm. Fastens at upper left with hook and loop. As designed, the strips of fur appear diagonal when worn, creating the image of the piece being cut on the bias. Lined in pale peach/cream silk. Designer's label at inside right: "Madeline Vionnet / depose" B) Large "puff" of ermine tails to ornament left shoulder. Loop on back to attaches to closure.

- Chakra (hanging panel for a shrine or altar in homes) with Kutch embroidery. Square panel with radial, square design balanced from center. Center panel is nine squares bordered in geometric embroidery, with each square containing nine mica mirrors attached with buttonhole stitches around edges. Center panel surrounded by border with linear pattern, then border with double helix pattern, then wider band with floral motifs with mica mirrors at center. Outside that band is another border of double helix pattern, a wider band of roundels with sun pattern and mica mirrors at center, and outside border of double helix. Back lined in undyed muslin, with many stitches showing through.

Blouse is lined with white fabric printed with all-over repeat of Mr John signature/logo. No other label in blouse. B) Matching belt of same fabric. Designed as an exaggerated cummerbund, widening at center and narrowing to long straps at ends. Center section with row of 17 large circular brass/gilt metal grommets. Designer's label sewn to inside of center section: "Mr. John"
