Description: Hat of tan/light brown fur. The cylindrical crown is flat at top, and encircled at base by wide band of dark brown grosgrain ribbon with large bow and trailing ribbons. The flat, medium-width brim is covered in same fur, but is lined in part with black fur. Hat is unlined, allowing view of stiffening mesh under-structure of crown. Inner gray grosgrain ribbon hatband, and an elastic cord to help secure hat to wearer's head.

Description: Hat of ultramarine blue felt. Based on a top hat, the cylindrical high crown has an undulating upper edge. Small brim curls up at front and sides, but curls down at back, ending in a point. Around base of crown is wide blue grosgrain ribbon which trails off back of hat. Inside of brim lined with black grosgrain ribbon. A thin black elastic strap goes around the back of the head to secure the hat. Label sewn into inner band: "Walter Florell / 29 East 53rd New York"

Description: Hat of red straw. Styled with aspects of both a cloche and a bonnet, the hat has a domed crown of red straw that is partly encircled at the base by a band of red velvet to which is affixed sprays of artificial flowers (Roses, violets?, and others), cherries, and leaves. The narrow brim turns down around front and sides, and is cut short in back. Around sides and front is green mesh veiling. Hat is unlined, with red grosgrain inner hatband.
