The shoes, designed with gently pointed toes, are of the Oxford style of brown leather with openwork at sides of instep and with laced closure at instep of 4 holes height. The medium height heels are styled as a modified Cuban or continental heel, with rounded sides and back, tapering to base, and slightly curved at front. The heels covered with matching leather. Sole of tan leather, with rubber/composite on heel. Stamped in lining on one shoe: "Arch Rest / Drew / Portsmouth. O." Stamped into lining of shoe: "8 1/2 AAA 75537 / 6003" Stamped on inner sole: "[drawing of arrow] INTERIOR / DREW / [illeg]CK REST" Tooled into inner sole at heel: "SNUG-FITTING / HEEL" Molded into rubber of heel: "Biltrite" L: 26 cm W: 8 cm H: 12.5 cm Heel: 5 cm / 2 in.
Woman's white canvas pumps. Designed with slightly pointed toes and a rounded edge at the vamp; single strap across the instep secured with a circular glass button with steel shank (button missing on right shoe). Canvas-covered heel shaped as a modified Cuban heel, rounded at sides and back, curved at front, and tapering slightly to base. Sole of leather, originally white/pale, worn to brown. No designer's or retailer's labels. Stamped inside of each: "455 .199 59 [star] / D8083 82566" Measurements: Length: 25 cm. Width: 8 cm. Height: 10 cm. Heel: 4 cm. (1 1/2") high on axis with cap.
Capelet of dark brown to black plush, possibly silk and cotton, resembling seal fur. Rounded roll collar trimmed in brown soutache braid stitched with a line of purple thread and black glass or jet beads. Center front opening with hook & eye at neck. Trimmed in light brown with purple soutache braid and hexagonal prism, black glass beads. Collar and center front opening bound by black braid (appears to have been added after the original garment was made). Fully lined in a printed polished cotton (not original) of black with looping rope design and repeated fan shapes of pale blue, red, and cream.
The vertically oriented postcard depicts in a monochromatic palette some soldiers fighting with one down, partially seen. There is some Japanese script in the upper portion in a heavy black font.
Chatelaine purse of olive green chamois with front side covered with silver beads. Semicircular metal frame in floral design; trim of looped silver beads. Chain handle with larger ring at center; flip closure. Clasp stamped "PAT.JUL.2.01" Measures 13 cm in diameter.
Pair of children's shoes from China. Designed with straight last, rounded toe with small point at tip and at heel. Upper of pink/mauve brocade with Chinese symbols in yellow, green/gold, and white. Edged in dark blue around opening, and the panels bordered in black bands. Front of each shoe with applied stylized mask form with eyes, eyebrows, and nose embroidered in various colors, mustache along upper lip with trailing ends of red, yellow, green, blue, etc. Narrow vertical brocade band of Chinese symbols along back of heel. Set on 1/2" platform of white silk. Lined in blue cotton(?). No labels or marks.
Child's "apron" dress of woven red and blue striped flannel with collar and one box pleat in front. Center front opening with snap at neckline. No belt - possibly missing.

Three vertical panels of vertical pin tucks at front. Two inserted front panels and ruffle at hem of machine lace with elements of white work and open work embroidery; scalloped hem. Two drawstrings at waist that tie at the back and two buttons to close placket at back.
Child's dress of white cotton voile with 'V' inset at neck trimmed in tiny French knots and feather stitch white work embroidery. Release tucks on bodice. Horizontal tucks at wide hem. Neckline and sleeves trimmed in lace and feather stitch embroidery. Center back button closure.

Head dress formed as a length of multi-colored (dark red, orange, pink, white, green, blue) braided yarn with fringed ends. Approx. 29" long x 1" wide.
Antique chopine or clog hand carved of wood two inches high w/ top of platform decorated with mother of pearl inlay - three straps or thongs missing. Difficult to date, but came into style in Turkey and India in the 16th century.
Seated in the middle of the room is a man wearing a woman's ruffled skirt and pink jacket. At his feet is an umbrella. The room appears to be elegant in its appointments and the wallpaper is striped with flowers.
The painting shows the unclothed back of a female who is sitting at a dresser in front of a mirror with her arms raised fixing her hair. There is what appears to be a red garment with white trim around her lower body. A small, yellow pot holding red flowers sits on the dresser and a white fabric circles around the edges of the dresser.

Yellow ribbon inserted under white lace in the middle section with a bow tied on one side. Full length and flared with princess panels and gathering at waist. Button closure on 1" waistband.
A large tree trunk figures prominently in the composition and a couple behind the tree are underneath an umbrella. The colors of the postcard are muted and along the left hand edge is some Japanese text.

Daytime coat of black wool for mourning wear. The princess-line shell of the coat falls to mid-calf with a scalloped hem, and has a high standing band collar lined with a gathered black silk ruffle. The ruffle is edged with two narrow bands of ruching and is embellished with cut-work backed in black silk, the cut-work edged with black grosgrain ribbon decorated with black beads and jet. From the center front of the collar, trailing black silk ribbon accents fall to knee-length, and four knee-length ribbons are finished with beaded tassels. The coat has full-length, shaped, slightly flared sleeves that gather into the armseye and are embellished with cut-work motifs and beading as the collar. The cuff edges are faced with box pleated bands of black silk ribbon. Center-front opening of coat with black wool placket facing from neck to waistline, and is secured with seven hook & eyes. Two more hook & eyes catch the front opening at mid-thigh and knee-level. The coat front and back are embellished with black silk backed cut-work and beading as the collar and sleeves. Fully lined in black silk. Black waist tie secured to lining.
