Hatlet

Description: Hatlet of black straw, net, and velvet. The hatlet is based on a metal underframe shaped as an open circle, wrapped, on which are set six black straw pompom forms set in a circle about 6" in diameter. At center of circle is a bow of narrow black velvet ribbon with 4 extending trailing ribbons. The whole is set on a circular veil of black mesh net. Designer's label: "Norman-Pualvin / New York".

Description: Pamela or halo style hat of natural colored straw cloth. Crown ringed with brown silk organza roses. Edge of brim covered with natural colored grosgrain. Description: Hatlet of black velvet. Formed as Juliet cap, the hatlet has a crown of black velvet formed as a stiff low dome with shaped edge creating triangular points at front, back, and each side. Description: Hat of black felt. The low, domed crown of black felt is ornamented with a double-spray of black feathers at front. The brim, also of black felt, is turned up at front and turned down at back. Tulip-shaped gloves

Description: Gloves of yellow sueded cotton with tulip flower like wrists. Hands have seams on outside; running stitch in same yellow; wrist is wide; opening is similar to tulip flower petals, like reaching into the flower petals from the top. Label sewn inside right glove: "Gloves / Designed by / Lilly Dache". Stamped "6 1/2" inside right glove.

Hat

Description: Hat of ultramarine blue felt. Based on a top hat, the cylindrical high crown has an undulating upper edge. Small brim curls up at front and sides, but curls down at back, ending in a point. Around base of crown is wide blue grosgrain ribbon which trails off back of hat. Inside of brim lined with black grosgrain ribbon. A thin black elastic strap goes around the back of the head to secure the hat. Label sewn into inner band: "Walter Florell / 29 East 53rd New York"

Description: Petticoat of ecru colored crinoline net. Full-length. Narrow ecru linen tape waistband with hook-and eyes at back and along back center closure. Wide hem of same net. Inner layer from waist to about knees, with ruffles at sides and back forming slight bustle effect. Inner layer with hook-and-eye closures also. No labels in garment.

Description: Boy's one-piece playsuit of red cotton with blue, green, and white figures of boys riding scooters, wagons and tricycles. Patch pocket at right front. Elastic waistband at back. Shoulder straps button to front of bib. Bib lined in blue cotton and folds over top of bib to form tab trimmed with three white buttons.
