Body of bag is of beige fabric with multi-colored petit-point embroidery of a bouquet of flowers. Floral motif on bag in grey, greens, blues, pinks and rose. Lined in rose ribbed silk, and contains a change purse and mirror. French or English in origin.
Reticule. Drawstring handbag/purse of black knit with openwork band along top through which drawstring is threaded. Running around center of bag are three horizontal bands of blue beads bordered by silver/gold lined beads. Lower part of the bag is completely covered by horizontal bands of silver/gold lined beads and blue beads. Bottom of bag with large sphere covered with blue beads from which hangs tassel of silver/gold lined bead loops. Unlined. Has been dated 1880-1890 or ca. 1916.
Folding fan. Guards and sticks of lightly carved ivory (bone?) with scrolling foliate designs. The leaf is of white lace. Sticks are unadorned on the reverse. No visible labels, marks or signatures. Fan has alternately been identified as Irish lace or machine-made lace, and dated 1830's or 1880-1899.
Handbag with cast and chased silver frame decorated with openwork figures of children harvesting grapes. Ball/snap closure. Silver suspension chain of alternating oval links and links formed of three flower-heads. Bag is oval shaped, black wool with petite point embroidery decoration on each side of a bouquet of trumpet shaped flowers. Pink satin lining. Hallmarked "800" on frame.
Chinese floor-length vest made in the same style as a court robe but sleeveless. Mandarin collar. Body of vest is brocaded silk. Trim and collar contain much and fine silk hand embroidered design motifs.
Little boy's dress of white nainsook with dropped waist and slightly gathered short skirt. Tucked front and back and lavishly laced with machine crotchet lace inserts. Short sleeves with tucks and lace at cuffs. Lace trimmed round neckline. Center back closure of hidden self-covered buttons under placket. Size 2 years.
Purse of teal crochet/knit with white, light grey, brass and steel cut beads; 2 silver rings in center. Miser's purse with rectangular ends. Number tag on interior of bag: 65.30.2 Measurements: 23 cm total length and purse width of 6.5 cm.
Mourning ensemble of black crepe chiffon: A) Bodice with standing band collar; long tapered sleeves with ruching, ruched pinch pleats, horizontal satin stripes and covered buttons at wrists; lace panel at CF with covered buttons @ each side; attached pleated belt; vertical stripes of appliqued satin at front and back of bodice forming a V-shape at CF and CB waist. Hook&eye closures up front of bodice and at the back of the neck band. B) Skirt with a full, A-line silhouette; pleated from waist; underskirt of black silk taffeta with layers of ruffles at hem.; sweep train; hook & eye closure at back.
Cape of black crepe chiffon with black lace insets in a floral motif. Crescent opening and back hem is trimmed in a 1 inch gently ruffled black chiffon. Back hemline is a soft zigzag. Large, round collar of matching chiffon with insets is trimmed in gathered chiffon and is accented with 3 chiffon flowers, one at the center and one at each side. Collar folds over to expose rows of gathered cream chiffon. Lining of cream silk with deep 8" knife pleats which peek below the hemline. The out-facing edge is trimmed in a center-stitched, gathered ribbon of cream chiffon.
Sunbonnet of black cotton with lace trim; rows of machine quilting echo the rounded edge of the brim; self-fabric ruffle trims edge of brim; crown is sewn to brim in a flat seam on sides, and gathered on top; tail has a trim of floral pattern machine lace with no center back seam; chin ties and narrow hemmed.
Ensemble of green and blue plaid cotton with collar and buttons of navy blue velvet. Ensemble consists of: A) Bodice. Waist is fitted with fastening of nine velvet covered buttons and tailored buttonholes, snap at neckline and two hook&eyes at hem. High stand-up collar of velvet. Long sleeves gathered with feather stitching; 6" fitted cuffs. Lined in brown polished cotton. B) Skirt. Full length; gathered on 1" waistband of black cotton with closure of two hook & eyes. Sleeve hems trimmed with three rows of pin tucks and ruffle of broderie anglaise. Center back closure of 4 pearl buttons on rectangular panel of three vertical bands of broderie anglaise separated by two shirred sections; gathers at base of panel.
Infant's dress of fine batiste cotton with broderie anglaise. Yoke has attached 4"ruffle of broderie anglaise with insertion lace and pink satin ribbon. Long sleeves have insertion lace cuffs and pink satin ribbon. Full length. No labels in garment.

Folding fan with 17 bone sticks; white lace with round and clover leaf shaped silver sequins. Sticks carved with tiny flower and dot designs on 8 sticks and leaf and curly designs on 9 sticks. Back of fan is not decorated.

At hem is a narrow horizontal band of openwork. There are no labels in garment.

Hat of green felt in the style of a tricorne or cocked hat. Trimmed with green silk roses, brown feathers, a brass buckle on right side and bow on back. Lined in black with central "drawstring".
Day cap of cream lace, pale green moire silk, and 1/4" black velvet ribbon. Pointed over forehead, lappets fall at sides of face, ends of lappets trimmed with knots of ribbon.
