Description: Child's dress of white cotton voile with 'V' inset at neck trimmed in tiny French knots and feather stitch white work embroidery. Release tucks on bodice. Horizontal tucks at wide hem. Neckline and sleeves trimmed in lace and feather stitch embroidery. Center back button closure.

Chopine

Description: Antique chopine or clog hand carved of wood two inches high w/ top of platform decorated with mother of pearl inlay - three straps or thongs missing. Difficult to date, but came into style in Turkey and India in the 16th century.

The Clown

Description: Seated in the middle of the room is a man wearing a woman's ruffled skirt and pink jacket. At his feet is an umbrella. The room appears to be elegant in its appointments and the wallpaper is striped with flowers.

Combination petticoat

Description: Combination petticoat of white cotton batiste, round wide neckline gathered with pink ribbon through whitework openings, sleeveless, embroidery on bodice, waistline defined by vertical pin tucks from under bust to hips, pink ribbon detail at knee length, lace scalloped hem.

Cotton petticoat

Description: Petticoat of white cotton with lace trim around the double layered hem with upper tier of scalloped ruffle with lace and lace inserted panels. Yellow ribbon inserted under white lace in the middle section with a bow tied on one side. Full length and flared with princess panels and gathering at waist. Button closure on 1" waistband.

Crochet purse

Description: Purse of hand-crocheted ivory silk with carved ivory or bone frame. Scalloped edges. Snap closures at outside edges of frame. Double silk cord string handle. Ivory white satin lining, slip pocket. No labels. Measurements: Length of ivory frame 17.5 cm; purse is 16.5 cm from base of frame to bottom and 23.5 cm across widest part.

"Crusader" detachable collar

Description: Man's detachable collar. Exterior layer of off-white, woven to create effect of narrow vertical satin bands/stripes alternating with wider "textured" bands. Lining/inner layer of white linen(?). Stamped on reverse: "Launder Soft / No Starch" "Crusader / Geo. P. Ide & Co. / U.S.A." "14 / 2956"

Day Coat

Description: Daytime coat of black wool for mourning wear. The princess-line shell of the coat falls to mid-calf with a scalloped hem, and has a high standing band collar lined with a gathered black silk ruffle. The ruffle is edged with two narrow bands of ruching and is embellished with cut-work backed in black silk, the cut-work edged with black grosgrain ribbon decorated with black beads and jet.
