Female Student in a Parody of the Wisteria Maiden

Description: The vertically oriented postcard contains a depiction of a woman in a simple gown and cape, holding an umbrella, amongst some leafy vines. The ground of the card stock is tan, the woman's hat and cloak are black, and the vine is green as is the simple line indicating the woman's sandals.

Description: Pair of pumps of black leather. Shoes with pointed toes, and cut-work on the vamp which is outlined and embellished with small bronze/copper colored beads. Small circular holes edged with beading at sides. 2" high modified Louis or cuban heels. Stamped inside with retailer's mark: "Marshall Field & Co / Chicago" L: 26 cm W: 8 cm H: 13 cm Heel: 5 cm / 2 in.

Leather riding boots

Description: Pair of lady's riding boots of black/dark brown leather. The "high button shoes" are designed with pointed toes gently rounded at tips, the boots lace up along the back with 12 holes/hooks. Lined in white fabric. High heels are rounded at sides and back, flaring slightly to base, and curved at front. Black leather soles. Styled after Mexican type. Modified Louis XV heel. Description: Off-white petticoat with three bands of horizontal tucks and lace inserts, each 2" to 4" deep. Final tier 3 1/2" deep; scalloped at lower edge. 140" around lower edge. Waistband 3/4" wide and 25" long. Second layer attached from base of first tier.
