Crocheted Cap

Description: Crocheted cap of brown cotton yarn styled as a pillbox. The hemispherical crown is flat at top and slopes to base. The hat has no brim and is unlined. Stuck through the sides of the crown are two brass hatpins formed as over-sized hairpins.

Dress

Description: Child’s "Flower Girl" dress made from pieces of Irish lace. Knee-length, the dress has a round neckline and short sleeves which are slit along the lower 7 1/2" of length. The lower part is slightly A-line with scalloped lower edge, and has one horizontal section mid-way between waist and hem made to have a ribbon threaded through. The center back opening has a 7 1/2" slit at neckline, and a single snap closure.

Description: Dress. Full-length dress of navy with printed taupe polka dots of various sizes throughout. Sleeveless. Rounded neckline in front, back with deep V-neckline/long opening secured by a series of hooks that begin mid-back and continue down. Belt of self. Unlined. Label in skirt: "Hattie Carnegie / Inc. / Original / N.Y.C." on label between two "heraldic" columns.

Description: Evening coat of black and gold brocade in a large scale tropical motif. The wrap-style coat has a shawl collar of red fox fur with kimono style sleeves trimmed in fox. The coat is fully lined in gold silk velvet.

Floral handkerchief

Description: Ladies' handkerchief. Square of off-white fabric. Printed outer border of peach, with inner scalloped line of brown. Each corner with large printed floral (rose?) design in peach, brown, white, and blue/green. No labels or tags. Approx. 12" square.

Gat

Description: Gat Korean man's hat of black stiffened buckram and crinoline. Flat, round crinoline brim with black lacquered willow stiffener at the outer edge. Tall cylindrical crown with flat top. The top of the crown is embellished with a black filigree silhouette sandwiched between the two layers of buckram. Long black gauze ties attached at the base of the crown.

Description: Dress and slip. A: Dress of ivory white silk chiffon. Sleeveless with scoop neck, beading at neck, armscye, and in bands across the bust, waist, and hips. Description: Envelope clutch style purse of off-white pigskin. Trim on sides of front face of fold over flap of 18 brass hooks/staples. Slip pockets on exterior front and back face lined with off-white taffeta silk. Interior section has inverted frame and brass flip clip bar closure. Description: Envelope style miniature clutch of silver, brass, brown, green and red metallic microbeads in floral and bow pattern.
