[tie-dyeing in a tall vertical artwork]

Description: This long vertical work consists of a tie dyed or shibori method of screen printing. The imagery in the top portion of the work is a large red circle floating on an orange colored ground. The bottom portion of the work is a purple with many dark streaks running horizontally and a large light purple wave shape moves from the bottom edge of the work towards the top.

Blue Tide

Description: This queen sized bedspread, screen printed on cotton velvet, was created while Spear studied at Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The bedspread gradates from purples to blues with long wave shapes in a pale yellow gold color.

Rosebud

Description: The sculptural wall piece consists of two copper pipe shapes in opposite facing open right angles. Bridging the space between the two right angles are four vertical flat shapes decorated with various geometric shapes and colors. Running vertically through each center panel is a black and angular S shape.
