Description: Coat of leopard(?) and mink. Below-knee length coat of leopard fur, with long sleeves. The shawl collar, center front opening, lower hem, and cuffs of the sleeves are edged with black mink. Two slit pockets at front hips. Fully lined in dark cream silk(?) brocade with gold pattern similar to an Indian sari. Embroidered monogram at inside right: "MER". Designer's label at inside back collar: "Ben Kahn"

Description: Hat of pink fur felt. Designed as a modified sailor or "Pamela" hat, the domed crown is set within "walls" formed by the steeply upturned brim. At front of hat on outside of brim is an ornate bow made of various shades and widths of grosgrain ribbon. The hat is unlined, but the underside of the brim is of the same fur felt. There is an inner hatband of pink grosgrain ribbon. Designer's label: "Kay & Guy / Anderson / New York" Retailer's label: "Gus Mayer / Co. Ltd." Felt maker's stamp: "Mousse / HB / Body Made In France": Size label: "22"
