Ensemble consisting of green leather jacket and green and black striped knit dress with green leather belt. A) The sheath-style street-length dress is of wool jersey with a knitted pattern of horizontal green and black stripes. It has very short sleeves and a wide boat neckline, and is unlined. B) The dress has an accompanying green leather belt that ends in fringe. C) The street-length coat is of matching green leather, with long sleeves and tuxedo collar that extends to lower hem. The center-front opening has no closures, and there is a welt pocket at each side seam. The coat is lined in the same fabric the dress is made from, and faces the tuxedo collar and opening. There are no designer labels in the garments, and the coat has retailer's label: "Neiman-Marcus / Trophy Room".

Surplice construction with wrap secured at neckline with covered button. Side zipper closure. Unlined. c) Skirt of black jersey, mid-calf length, front center tacked to create small gather.

Hat of light tan fur felt. Cylindrical crown, flattened at top, encircled at base by wide tan grosgrain ribbon with bow at right side. Wide brim is "crunched", turned down, and turned under. Unlined, with wide tan inner grosgrain hatband. Designer's label inside: "New York / Cecile / Original" Maker's stamp inside: "Duches / reg'd / Body made in Italy" With original(?) square hatbox.

Hat of natural straw. The high, cylindrical crown is slightly domed, and is encircled by two wide bands of pale yellow grosgrain ribbon. The brim is off-center, wider at front, and turns up sharply at edge. The brim is edged with same ribbon as encircles the crown. The hat is unlined, with a band of pale yellow grosgrain ribbon inside base of crown as inner hatband. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Cedar Crest / Original"

Hat of braided navy straw. Similar to a pillbox hat, the cylindrical crown is slightly domed, and surmounted by a sphere at top center made of navy satin braid. The whole is overlaid with blue veiling/netting. Unlined, with inner dark blue grosgrain ribbon hatband. Designer's label at inner hatband: "Cedar Crest / Original" Accompanied by a single hatpin, the head covered with blue fabric matching the hat.

Hat of white straw with round profile and shallow curved brim filled with light green silk leaves and white silk magnolia flowers. Lined in green lace. Labels: Chanda; Martha Weathered.

Hat in modified cloche style of hot pink fur felt with pointed scalloped edges over brim of green velour. Domed crown. Two hatpins with square green velvet heads form ends for green veil with chenille dots. Veil in very poor condition. Third hatpin with square head. Chartreuse yellow grosgrain headband. Unlined.

Hat of white fabric with small navy blue polka dots. Styled somewhat as a calotte (also spelled "calot"), the low, domed crown is encircled by the deeply rolled brim. At center back is a red silk carnation with navy blue ribbon bow with trailing ribbons. The rolled brim is overlaid with a navy blue mesh veil. There is a black silk satin ribbon at natural waist and clusters of glitter glued throughout. There is also a scarf of black tulle with clusters of glitter glued throughout.

Hat of beige velour. Styled as a modified calotte (also spelled "calot"), the hat has a low domed crown and narrow rolled brim with extends slightly more in front to form a "visor" shape. Set at front of hat is an ornament of crossed large white and beige feathers, and smaller gray and white ones. Underside of visor lined with an off-white jersey-like material, and the hat has an inner hatband of dark gray beige grosgrain ribbon overlaid with silver rickrack and pink lace. Pillbox hat of black cotton(?). The cylindrical crown is mostly flattened at top, with diamond-shaped patches of same fabric attached at sides, overlapping top and bottom. Patches are outlined in black faceted beads. The hat is lined in black fabric, and has inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband. Designer's label inside: "Design By / d. charles"

Hat of striped felt. The hat is formed as a "pancake beret" on a rigid, slightly curved frame. The crown is of felt with wide width-wise stripes of olive green and black. The edge is embellished with a swagged band of bronze and black beads which runs from just behind the midway point of the side of the hat, around the front, and to just behind the midway point on the other side of the hat. The interior of the hat is lined in black fabric, and there is an inner hatband of black grosgrain ribbon. Maker's label sewn to inner hatband: "Chez Henriette".

Cocktail dress of black silk taffeta with black trim. Low V-neck front and back, elbow length sleeves. Extremely narrow foundation skirt in "Hobble Skirt" style, with pleated overskirt caught up underneath. The front is decorated with cord decoration, the back is plain. No label found, attrib from Donor's description.

Dress (evening?) of gray and gold brocade in floral pattern with small roses. Below knee length, with short sleeves, and with collarless rounded neckline, split at center front. Center front opening, which has: 3 self-covered circular buttons and bound button holes on bodice; one hook-and-loop tab in pleating; three hook and loop fasteners at dropped waist narrow waistband/belt; 6 functioning self-covered buttons and bound buttonholes on skirt; and with two faux bound button holes at bottom near hem. Full skirt is pleated into waistband. Large bow-form of self at center back of waistband. Lined in sheer cream silk. Designer's label at waist, right back: "Christian Dior - New York Inc."

Dress in sheath style of navy blue linen. Neckline is high and straight in front with wide, scooped back with 3/4" shoulder straps. Center back zipper with hook & eye. Lined in navy organdy.
