Description: Evening dress/ballgown of black with white polka dots taffeta. Full length, slightly flared skirt with spaghetti strap shoulders. Bodice of six layers of black and matching polka dot pleated ruffles. Under structure of black taffeta is straight with 16" added gathered ruffle at hemline to give fullness to dress. Description: The vertically oriented postcard depicts an aerial view of a woman in a kimono playing a card game. She is seated and her opponent is partially seen in silhouette. Chûjô-hime

Description: A roundel in the center features a woman in a highly patterned kimono holding two pieces of a vegetable. A lotus blossom is featured on the roundel. In the uppermost portion of the piece is a rectangular inset with Japanese text and double row of cloud formations. A large leaf extends below and from underneath the roundel on the lower right side. A narrow band on the right side of the artwork graduates from yellow to blue and also includes Japanese text.
