Lloyd / Date: 10/15/53 No. 75290" B) Skirt. Knee-length Slightly a-line. Fan pleat from hem on front(?). Left side zipper. Tag in skirt: Same as undertag from jacket.

Suit of golden brown wool. AA Jacket of golden brown wool. CF opening with two buttons low near hem; 3/4 sleeves; fully lined in green crepe. B) Skirt of same; mid-length; partly lined in green crepe; with front box pleat; side zipper. Two labels in jacket. Coat of yellow-gold silk moire taffeta. Evening, clutch coat has raglan-saddle sleeves, a modified shawl collar, and 3/4 length lantern sleeves. Retailer label in back of collar: "Neiman Marcus Co./Dallas/New York/Paris."

A) Blouse of soft blue denim. Styled as a vest, the blouse is of pale blue, very soft denim. No sleeves, center front opening with 4 circular buttons resembling obsidian (silvery to black as light changes). At each side the side seams overlap and are open from hem partway up blouse to allow access to under layers which contain slit pockets. Blouse is lined with white fabric printed with all-over repeat of Mr John signature/logo. No other label in blouse. B) Matching belt of same fabric. Designed as an exaggerated cummerbund, widening at center and narrowing to long straps at ends. Center section with row of 17 large circular brass/gilt metal grommets. Designer's label sewn to inside of center section: "Mr. John"

Dress of medium brown cashmere; slight ring collar; knee-length; 2 slanted flap pockets at hips.

Vest of red, white, blue, yellow and gray silk grosgrain ribbon. Retailer's label at inside back collar: "Made in Italy Exclusively for / Neiman-Marcus"

Cocktail or short evening dress of ivory crocheted lace over pink satin back shantung with pink self belt. Machine made lace of Venetian type with re-embroidered medallions. Dress with natural waistline, bateau neckline, sleeveless and slightly full skirt. Back zipper with hook & eye. Weighted hem. Has been altered at waist (cut) to shorten. Atypical of Norell. Designer's label at center back hem: "Norman Norell / New York" Union label on opposite side of seam from designer's label (most cut off).

Cocktail ensemble of cream/blue/gold brocade of blossoms and scrolls. A) Jacket. Waist length, with small collar. CF opening with no closures, long sleeves with 3 functioning buttons at wrist of each. All edges trimmed with metallic gold braid/piping. Lined in green metallic brocade(?), and with chain at hem. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Chanel" B) Dress. Matching fabric. Slightly below knee length. Sleeveless. Scooped rounded neckline. Somewhat "wrap" style, with front opening to slightly left of center secured with hidden snaps and hooks & eyes, with 4 decorative buttons on bodice. Green metallic thin tie-belt at waist, sewn to back of dress. Inside skirt are two hooks to secure, one hook on a tie, and one tie. Lined in same fabric as jacket. No labels in dress.

Day dress of black and grey tweed. Tea-length; short sleeves. Two large black buttons in front above zipper.

Evening gown of off-white chiffon. Gathered at waist giving straight but very full skirt with unpressed pleat effect. Gathered strapless empire top. Boned in bodice and lined in white taffeta. Skirt consists of two layers of chiffon over an attached white crepe underskirt. Metal zipper at center back. Designer's label: "Scassi" Orange paper tag on inside seam of underskirt: "C Wheaton"

A) Daytime dress of oyster white linen designed as a "Sailor Dress". Straight silhouette and short sleeves. Blue "sailor collar" trimmed with two bands of white linen. Sleeves are likewise edged in a wide blue band with two white linen stripes. Red silk faille tie fastened with hook & eye closure in back. Street-length skirt has two patch pockets at front. Three darts at front sides and two at back sides. Zipper closure at left side. Unlined with petersham of oyster grosgrain ribbon with hook-and-eye closure. Designer's label at bottom left side seam at hem: "Traina-Norell / New York" B) Narrow navy blue belt backed in leather. Simulated patent leather (?) facing. Illegible marks on back.

Dres of ivory white cotton organdy. Round neckline; short, ruffled sleeves. Long, tiered, ruffled, and scalloped skirt.

Ballgown of pink silk satin. Strapless edged in a band of same. High waist. Very full balloon/bubble skirt, heavily gathered at waist. Wide vertical pleated panel attaches at waist and extends down and under front of skirt creating a slight pick up with bow at waist. Bodice is boned and lined in crepe silk. Inner panels of horsehair and hoop for support. Bodice has center back zipper which continues as inner skirt zipper and is concealed with a hook and eye and small bow at top. Skirt has snaps at center back.

Suit of ecru woven tussah (wild) silk consisting of 3 pieces: Size 10 A) Jacket of a slightly textured ecru/pale tan Tussah silk. Notched shawl collar, long sleeves with non-function single button at each cuff matching, center front opening with 5 circular mother of pearl buttons which are actually two buttons, a smaller stacked on a larger - cuff buttons are same. Two pockets, one at each hip. Hem, edges of opening, pocket flaps, sleeve hems, collar all slightly padded. Lined in cream silk printed with Mr. John logo in gold. B) Skirt of matching fabric. Knee-length or slightly longer. Pencil skirt, Slightly gathered/pleated into ecru grosgrain ribbon waistband. Two zippers, one at each hip. Lined in same fabric as jacket, with Mr. John logo in gold. C) blouse of matching fabric. Square neckline. Sleeveless. Lined in same fabric as skirt, with Mr. John logo. No labels in any of the pieces, but all with the Mr. John logo fabric.

Evening dress. Yellow silk chiffon long straight sheath evening dress with skirt forming small train & ending in gathers at top-center back of bodice, with applied yellow silk flowers. Joint Retailer/Designer tag in side seam of skirt: "Neiman-Marcus / Nettie Rosenstein"

Maxi paper bridesmaid jumpsuit of Reemay spun polyester "paper," printed with a pattern of impressionistic flowers in greens, pink, blues and purples on a yellow ground. It has a high, rounded neckline with no collar, and opens with a zipper at center back from collar to just above waist. The long, fitted sleeves have a thin band at cuff which extends to be tied into a bow. Empire waistline, from which extend box pleats. The dress appears to have a full, floor-length skirt, but the skirt is actually divided, forming wide palazzo pant legs. Lined in yellow.
