Evening Ensemble - Dress and Jacket

Description: Evening ensemble consisting of: Evening dress of light green silk chiffon in green and white leaf pattern with large pink and red chrysanthemum flowers at hem. Green satin spaghetti straps matching piping around upper edge of bodice; empire waist. Bodice is covered in matching bugle beads that accentuate the pattern of the fabric. Floor length. Center back opening of snaps and hook & eyes on bodice, zipper on lining below waist hidden by snaps on outer layer. Under layer of green chiffon; lining of green rayon. Designer's label to left of opening on bodice: "Hanae Mori (Japanese symbols)" Size "6" tag at base of designer label. Fiber content and cleaning instructions tag above designer label. Jacket of green silk chiffon in same pattern as dress. Fully beaded in bugle beads that accentuate the pattern of the fabric. Scalloped edges follow the pattern of the print. Long sleeves; rounded neckline. Right side, wrap around snap closure follows edge of large pink flower on left. Lined in green silk chiffon; padded shoulders.

Description: Dress of pale green/gray polyester chiffon with woven-in satin stripes, and printed with clusters of floral sprays in green, purples, pinks, and white. Below-knee-length, with wide, rounded neckline and flounce of same fabric as ruffle around neckline. Long sleeves with ruffle cuffs of same fabric. Skirt gathers slightly into natural waistline with sewn-in gathered elastic band with two "string" belt loops. A ruffle/flounce of same fabric is around lower part of skirt, the upper edge of which is about knee-height at left side, and curving down to right edge. Center back opening with 5 self-covered buttons-and-loops above waist, hook and eye at neckline and waist, and a single hidden snap below waist. Built-in shoulder pads. Torso lined in green rayon. Designer's label at inside left back neckline: "Hanae Mori" Care/content/size/origin label directly below designer's label: Outer layer, 100% polyester, lining 100% rayon, size 8, made in Japan, dry clean only". Description: Ensemble of silk with printed patterns of diagonal stripes and color blocks of pale gray, orange/brown, brown, etc. in diagonal stripes, with brocade of dark brown "spots". A) Blouse. Short torso, with single-breasted center front opening with 6 self-covered small domed buttons and single hidden snap. Band or "Ascot" collar with long extended ends to tie at front. Modified batwing sleeves with cuffs having single self-covered button and hidden snap. Wide, shaped band at lower hem of blouse, with pointed sections at front, curving up at sides, and back down at center back. Center back with DEEP inner vent. Unlined. Designer's label at inside back collar: "Hanae Mori / Boutique" B) Skirt. Below-knee length A-line skirt with narrow waist band having hook-and-bar and concealed snap at center back, below which is zipper. Fully lined in brown silk(?) Description: Dress of color blocked blue, pink, and orange silk chiffon gently patterned from the bust to hem with multicolored butterflies, exotic flowers, and blue and green blades of grass. The full-length dress is embellished with horizontal stripes of bugle beads that are spaced farther apart as they reach the bottom of the dress; the butterflies, flowers, and grass blades are embellished with seed and bugle beads. Band collar; straight, unstructured silhouette. Top of dress is blue, middle is pink, and bottom is orange. Center-back zip closure with two hook and eyes at collar; 15" slit at right side. Built-in shoulder pads. Long sleeves are unlined; balance of dress is lined in light mauve rayon. The full-length dress has 3 pink petal flowers, one wraps around left side bodice, one at center-front hemline, and other at center-back hemline of skirt; the pattern of the petals continues beyond the flowers in shades of turquoise blue; round neckline and hemlines are cut along the petal shapes; bodice is accented with bugle beads in self-colors throughout; long sleeves; unstructured silhouette; fully lined in rayon; center-back zip and hook and eye closure. Description: Suit of cream silk gaberdine(?) consisting of: A) Jacket. Hip-length; box style. Bermuda collar and yoke which covers jacket front top, makes into epaulet-like treatment at shoulder, and sailor-like collar in back; geometrically shaped with white snaps at corners. Center front of jacket fastens all the way down with white snaps. Full-length dolman sleeves. Back has center seam and two darts which start 2 1/2 inches under yoke and extend to waist. Fully lined in white synthetic fabric. Designer's label at center back neckline: "Pierre Cardin / Paris / Made in France" B. Skirt of matching fabric. Slightly gathered into 1"waistband. Description: Coat of black wool felt lined in cream wool. Street-length, with center front opening and no closures. Rounded high neckline, with no collar, but "corners" of opening flap open to form lapels showing the cream lining. 3/4 length dolmen sleeves with tapered extensions forming 7" "cuffs". Two slit pockets at hips in side seams. The coat appears reversible, but the placement of tags and lack of access to pockets from interior indicates otherwise. Designer's label at inside back collar: "Geoffrey Beene" Care label at inside right side seam: "Dry Clean / Only" Size label attached to Care label: "4" With accompanying black leather belt, with 1" wide sections at ends, and wide 3 1/2" wide "waved" shaped section at center back. Description: Pumps of leather in a print of metallic brass, copper and brown snake skin. The shoes are designed with rounded, open toes, and with a narrow band of self across top of toe-box. The sling-back pumps have one long strap that runs from sides of toebox to behind heel, and secure at sides at ankles. Each with small rectangular gilt-metal buckle at outer ankle. 2 7/8" high continental heel is covered with same leather in a larger version of the print. Inside of shoe lined in tan leather. Gored panels to left and right of center back seam of skirt. Inner bodice of black net with boning and black grosgrain ribbon petersham; closes at center front with 9 hook & eyes. Unlined.
