- Dark red silk faille afternoon dress, princess lines - fuller in back. Natural waist line. Fly front zipper opening but covered at waist with intricately cut huge self bow that fastens at side creating the look of a wrap front closure. V-neck, small collar, 3/4 sleeves. Designer's label sewn in bodice: "Hattie Carnegie"; retailer's label sewn in skirt: "Swanson / Inc / Kansas City".

Inner panels of horsehair and hoop for support. Bodice has center back zipper which continues as inner skirt zipper and is concealed with a hook and eye and small bow at top. Skirt has snaps at center back.

- Wool hat
- Hat of off-white wool yarn and beads. Hat is based on a fanchon style, consisting of a knitted, somewhat diamond-shaped piece to fit across top of head and extending down sides to the ears, with wide off-white silk ribbon ties at end of extensions. Unlike a regular fanchon, which is solely of a piece of flat lace, this cap has a deep pile of the same wool yarn over the entire surface of the cap, each piece tipped with a cylindrical frosted white bead.

- Pair of lady's boots of black leather and wool broadcloth. The "high button shoes" are designed with pointed toes gently rounded at tips. The lower part, including vamp, are of black leather. The upper part is of black wool broadcloth edged at scalloped top with black leather, and with black leather accent band running from heel partly up the back of the boot. The boots lace up along the front with 20 holes. Lined at top with reddish/orange fabric, the body of the shoe lined in white fabric. High heels are rounded at sides and back, flaring slightly to base, and curved at front. Black leather soles. Stamped notation inside: "3 1/2 B R251" L: 24 cm W: 7 cm H: 27 cm Heel: 6 cm / 2.5 in.

- Chemise of white cotton. Knee or lower length. Sleeveless. Neck and armholes edged with lace, neckline with ivory satin ribbon threaded through lace and tied as bow in front. Inset at front of chemise just below neckline are bands of lace forming four squares of cotton, each with embroidered/appliqued/ built-up butterflies, with a crossing band of lace below. At hem is a narrow horizontal band of openwork. There are no labels in garment.

- Handbag of navy blue brocade fabric. Double handles attached at each side with two circular shaped beads of brown plastic on each side. Hooded closure attaches at sides and center back; center front rectangular cutout passes over barrel shaped closure. Lining of navy blue satin with two slip pockets. Maker's stamp : C. - Cloche hat
- Cloche hat of blue-green velvet. An early example of the cloche hat, it has a narrow up-turned brim. All around the crown is floral decoration carried out in beading, appliqué, and embroidery with thin lines of gold thread sewn throughout. The edges of the brim are similarly decorated. Remains of silk lining. No labels. Measurements: 24 cm across at longest point; 22.5 cm across on narrow side; 15 cm high from base of brim to top of crown.

- Toque inspired hat of black velvet with four bands of tricolor red-orange silk velvet at base of hat. Bands circle to left side and end at a point on the crown. Small elastic chin strap. Lined in black silk. Designer's label: "Madame Marie-Alphonsine Modes / 73. - Sunbonnet of black cotton with lace trim; rows of machine quilting echo the rounded edge of the brim; self-fabric ruffle trims edge of brim; crown is sewn to brim in a flat seam on sides, and gathered on top; tail has a trim of floral pattern machine lace with no center back seam; chin ties and narrow hemmed.
- Reticule
- Reticule of blue stain with purple ribbon drawstring closure. Velvet diamond on front with beadwork pattern of a basket of flowers. Six bead covered spheres dangle from bottom (two missing). Bottom of bag tapers to a triangular point at the bottom. Two missing bead covered spheres are inside the bag. Measurements: 25 cm from top of the bag to bottom; 17 cm across measured from right before the bag begins to taper.
- Miser purse
- Miser purse of gray velvet with iridescent glass and pearl beads as trim; fringe of matching beading. Both panels taper at the ends into a triangular point. Two rings covered with matching velvet. Measurements: 44 cm from top of bag to bottom of beaded fringe when bag is folded over; 14 cm across the bag right before the taper. 79 cm unfolded, total length excluding beaded fringe.
