Description: Pantsuit of cocoa brown and ivory silk crepe. a) Tunic style top with jewel neckline trimmed with 8 buttons self-covered buttons and loops at each shoulder. Long straight sleeves. Diagonal seam across the front with left side in ivory and right side in brown. Lined in ivory silk. Combined designer/retailer label pinned to center back neckline: "Norman Norell for Bonwit Teller" Handwritten style number tag at inside right seam, barely legible: "20831-570-8" b) Pants are harlow style. Right leg is cocoa brown and left leg is ivory. Zipper at center front and two hook & eyes on 1" ivory waistband. Lined in ivory silk.

Description: Hat of dull yellow-green woven straw. The hat is constructed of concentric bands of woven straw mounted on a shaped, stiffed nylon net. The crown is conical in shape, flattened at top, and flaring at the base to merge into the floppy brim. Mounted at front of hat are two large artificial pink silk flowers. Unlined, the crown has an inner double-layer green grosgrain ribbon hatband, and is designed so that the hat "rests" on the head. Designer's label inside: "Sally Victor / New York" Retailer's label inside: "Titche's / Dallas"

Straight long sleeves with 4 smaller non-functioning matching buttons and bound buttonholes. White silk lining. Retailer's label at inside left near lapel: "Palm Beach / Martha / New York Miami Beach" Evidence of large label removed from center back neckline. B) Skirt. Slightly A-lined with slightly gathered at waist at 3" waistband. Midi length. Left side closure with 3 hooks & eyes and 8" plastic zipper. Lined in black silk. Designer's label at left side of lining near hem: "Norman Norell / New York" Union label attached to left side of designer's label.

Center front opening from throat to waist fastened with 5 chased gold-colored metal circular buttons and a single hidden snap at bottom. Skirt gathers at waistline from hips and around back; center front not gathered. Lined in cream, the skirt portion of lining forming inner skirt attached at waistline. Designer's label at inside back collar: "Traina / New York" Care label at inside left lapel: "Dry Clean / Only" Fabric label inside inner skirt: "[logo] / All Pure Wool" and ""The American Way / With Wool / Fabric made in the U.S.A.".

Description: Hat of light brown felt and net. Styled as a boater or "Pamela hat", the low, domed crown is of stiffened light brown net, overlaid with light brown felt circles of various sizes, and irregular band around the lower edge. At back is a bow, secured under a strap of the felt, made of lighter brown/beige satin tube ribbon. The brim is of the same felt, curling up at outer edge, banded at outer edge in the same satin tube ribbon. The hat is unlined, with inner light brown grosgrain ribbon hatband. Designer's(?) label inside: "Anniversaire / Original / by New Era" Additional tag: "ADJ / M.S.C."
