This almost square artwork begins with a light brown background and in the center a large pale blue sphere of concentric light blue circles and on the interior of the open sphere are light brown concentric circles and out of the ball shape seem to fly several sheets of paper.

The vertical hanging room divider consists of strips of color that start and stop creating geometric shapes. The colors are both warm and cool, pinks and blues.

Study of Forms and Color
The strong colors and vertical orientation with definite geometric shapes and stripes contribute to the graphic design. Blue and white stripes on the right hand side with a gradated purple sphere on the left and orange sphere at the top right are linked with some angled green lines.
Blue Tide
This queen sized bedspread, screen printed on cotton velvet, was created while Spear studied at Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The bedspread gradates from purples to blues with long wave shapes in a pale yellow gold color.

Storm, NYC Rooftop
Long multi-colored pieces are arranged on a rooftop in an urban setting. The pieces are arranged both in organic lines as well as straight lines filling the rooftop area. Some pieces partially move above the base and some appear suspended in space.
Space Behind the Dark Wall
The dark ground of the piece also contains square shapes that create great depth and floating on the surface appear trapezoidal pink shapes. The blue ground contains square that gradate from very dark to somewhat lighter and pink in tone. The pink shapes on the surface, floating parallel to the ground, gradate from a lighter pink to darker pink.
Wind
The work depicts a landscape sort of space with a striated mountainous shape on the left side of the work and at the bottom of the mountain are some white ripples of water. On the right side of the work are two white shapes, resembling the sheets of floating paper, may depict snow covered mountains. Floating down through the sky are several white shapes that appear to be sheets of paper. Some very think ribbons float horizontally through the space.

Two striated architectural type shapes, one beige-orange, one gray-green, consisting of two sides opening toward the right have moving between them three-striped ribbons. The work is horizontally oriented.

The work depicts striped rectangles, circles and arched shapes. Adjacent, behind and running through the depicted space are light colored shapes that resemble a spilled liquid.

The work depicts space in a canyon like fashion. Irregular shapes run through the work and from the edges are dropped perpendicularly gradated lines that create form and space. The illusion of space is also created by the gradations from white to pink to purple.

The artwork depicts some cloud like or wave like shapes in the foreground floating into the distance. The ground is depicted in a series of gradated stripes of dark purples and blues, also receding into the distance.

The strongly geometrically designed artwork consists of vertical strips that create circles and angled stripes. The bold colors range from dark browns and deep yellows to both light and dark purples and blues.

The long vertical piece is in muted browns and blues. Many circular shapes seem to float or fall down from the top of the work. Horizontal hatch type marks decorate the entire piece.

This long vertical work consists of a tie dyed or shibori method of screen printing. The imagery in the top portion of the work is a large red circle floating on an orange colored ground. The bottom portion of the work is a purple with many dark streaks running horizontally and a large light purple wave shape moves from the bottom edge of the work towards the top.
