Trilby Hat

Description: Trilby hat of black velvet. Designed with a sculpted crown, more vertical at back and sloping at front and sides, with slight dome at top, the hat has a narrow brim at front angled somewhat downwards, while at sides and back the brim curves upwards sharply. Top-stitching accents running up center front of hat, along top, along back facing of brim, and along edge of brim. Underside of brim is faced in same velvet, while the crown is unlined. Inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband.

Toque

Description: Toque hat of sienna brown beaver fur felt. Black sequins, copper colored sequins, and copper colored beads sewn in floral pattern as trim on front and sides on the lower half of the crown. Unlined, with an inner hatband of sienna brown grosgrain ribbon at inside base of crown. Label sewn at inside back: "Jan Leslie / Custom Design" Label sewn at inside back: "The Halle Bros. Co." Stamped in yellow on inside top: "MONTARA / HB / MADE IN ITALY"

Hat

Description: Hat of light navy blue felt. Brimless, the hat has a domed crown, sloping gently at front and more steeply at back, with slight "under-cut" at back and back of sides. The edges of the hat extend under and back towards crown, creating a "under brim", which gives the illusion that the hat is "floating" above the wearer's head. Hat is unlined, with inner black grosgrain ribbon hatband, and a short length of grosgrain ribbon across inside front of crown to help hat keep its shape. No labels.

Description: Hat of black velvet. The high, conical crown is designed like a beehive hairdo, with an under-structure of stiffened black net over which is set a black velvet tubular band in an open spiral from the top down. Near top of crown is affixed a small rhinestone set sphere from which hangs a small black cord tassel. Partly overlaid with black net veiling. Hat is unlined, with no labels.

Designed as a modified sailor's hat, the cylindrical crown is slightly domed at top, and encircled at the base by a narrow band of the same finely woven straw, with a bow at back. The thick brim is slightly curled up at sides, and is faced with wide band of self, and then has another band of same straw, forming concentric circles. The crown is unlined, with inner off-white grosgrain ribbon hatband and partial band along front of off-white cotton(?) padding. more

Description: Hat of ultra marine blue velvet. The brimless hat has a somewhat domed under-structure which is overlaid and draped with velvet of ultramarine blue, giving it a turban-like or head-wrap like appearance, with irregular folds and planes. Large swath of fabric extends from front of top, back to loop almost under at back. The hat is lined in a peach/pale orange silk(?), and has an inner blue grosgrain ribbon hatband. No labels in hat.

Description: Hat of deep yellow silk flowers. Formed on a stiffened white mesh, the hat consists of a cylindrical, flat-topped crown surrounded by a narrow brim. The entire surface is covered with small deep yellow silk flowers. The underside of the brim is faced with same flowers, while the crown and inner-most section of the brim are unlined. The crown has an inner off-white grosgrain ribbon hatband. No labels.
